As part of Collin college Dual Credit Certified Nurse Aide program, I had the opportunity to conduct clinical service at the longterm care facility for over 15+ patients. This hands-on experience gave me valuable insight into the importance of compassion, patience, and attention to detail in healthcare. It also deepened my understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the residents in long-term care, reinforcing my commitment to serving others with empathy and respect.
I participated in a program called Incredible Fridays which gave me the opportunity to assist special needs children. I was able to spend time with 30+ children, ages 6-12, and participate in multiple activities such as coloring, playing, reading books, magic shows, and dance parties. Through this experience, I learned the value of patience, creativity, and connection. I truly loved spending time with the kids - their joy and energy made every moment meaningful and unforgettable.
I interned at MG Health, where I had the opportunity to interview over 10 pulmonologists from around the world to gather insights on a lung monitoring device. I complied key data points on how to improve its features for more accurate diagnosis and reporting, and shared my findings with the development team. This experience strengthened my communication and research skills, and gave me valuable exposure to the intersection of healthcare and technology.
I got the opportunity to shadow under Dr. Hill at Hill Orthodontics (Allen, TX). I assisted with dental tools/supply prep before and after appointments. From this experience, I gained insight into the daily responsibilities of an orthodontic practice and learned the importance of organization, precision, and patient care.
